The Waterford Senior Ladies Football Team has been announced for this weekend’s TG4 Munster Senior Championship Final against Kerry.
📍 Venue: Mallow GAA Complex
📅 Date: Sunday, 25th May 2025
🕝 Throw-in: 2.30pm
Led by captain Emma Murray, the squad combines seasoned experience with fresh energy as they prepare to face a strong Kerry side in what promises to be a thrilling provincial decider.
The four groups in the 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Championship series are taking shape, with senior provincial finals in Connacht and Munster still to be played.
Defending All-Ireland champions Kerry will face Waterford in the Munster final on Sunday, 25th May at Mallow GAA Complex, with throw-in at 2:30 pm.
Galway and Mayo will meet in the Connacht provincial decider the same weekend.
The Waterford LGFA Player Development Programme is back for 2025! This initiative is designed to help young players enhance their skills, build confidence, and proudly represent Waterford. Open to girls of all abilities, it’s a fantastic opportunity to train with peers and develop as a player.
The Waterford Senior Ladies Footballers have qualified for this year’s Munster Ladies Football Championship final after a commanding performance against Cork at Dungarvan GAA grounds.

Today is the day! Waterford take on Cork in Round 3 of the TG4 Munster LGFA Senior Football Championship. The match will take place at Dungarvan GAA Club Grounds, with throw-in at 2pm
Congratulations to Aoibhe Waring from Erin’s Own LGFA on being awarded the 2025 SETU/MLGFA Bursary!
The bursary, offered in partnership with Munster LGFA, is part of a programme to support players in their third-level education. It recognises those who are actively involved in playing, coaching, or administration within LGFA.
We’re proud to see Aoibhe’s commitment to both her sport and studies being recognised.

The Waterford LGFA Adult Club League Finals took place on Sunday, 4th May 2025 — a brilliant day of football played across Kilgobnet, Colligan and Bushy Park.
A huge well done to every team who gave it their all. From extra-time thrillers to standout performances, it was a day that captured everything great about ladies football in Waterford.

Munster LGFA were delighted to welcome the 6 Counties to the recent launch of the Munster Senior and Senior B Championships, held in Mallow GAA Complex.
This year’s competitions will again be run on a round robin format with each team facing off against each other to earn the right to contest the Munster Final. Games will take place over three consecutive weekends with a two-week break before the finals.
Waterford LGFA – U17 – PDP – 2025! Players Born 2008 & 2009
This summer Waterford Ladies Gaelic Football Association are running an U17 player development programme. It will involve 5 training sessions and a blitz day where girls will don a unique Waterford Jersey and represent their county playing against other counties on the National and/or Regional Blitz day. Training dates are 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th of June, 4th of July.
The GAA, the Camogie Association, the Ladies Gaelic Football Association, GAA Handball and the GAA Rounders Association are delighted to announce the launch of the new Nursery Programme including a workshop to assist coaches in delivering and facilitating an introduction to Gaelic Games in a safe and fun environment for children aged 4-6 years of age.
The Awards night organised by the WLGFA County Board was held in recognition of the successful Minor team of 2024 who won both their Munster Intercounty Championship and their All-Ireland championship final as well as the 2023 team who won their Munster championship final and were runners-up that year in the All-Ireland final. The players were presented with their medals by Vice-Captain of the senior team Hannah Power. Delighted to receive their medals also on the night were the U16 team from 2024 who won their respective Munster Intercounty final and were runners up in their All-Ireland championship final last year.
Waterford Ladies Gaelic Football Association (WLGFA) is delighted to announce a groundbreaking three-year sponsorship agreement with Waterford Dairy Farmers. This partnership marks a significant investment in the future of women’s football in the county, with a primary focus on supporting our senior team while also contributing to the development of our underage PDP (Player Development Pathway) programmes.
From 6pm on Friday Sept 22nd to 6pm Saturday Sept 23rd Waterford Ladies Gaelic Football Association is partnering with Pieta House to #Play4Pieta. For 24 Hours somewhere in Waterford a person, group, or club will be at play. For most of our clubs this will involve playing Ladies Football but it can also involve playing a different sport, or even a walk, jog or cycle. If you’re being active and having fun it counts. All proceeds will be shared 50:50 between Pieta House & WLGFA.
