From 6pm on Friday Sept 22nd to 6pm Saturday Sept 23rd Waterford Ladies Gaelic Football Association is partnering with Pieta House to #Play4Pieta. For 24 Hours somewhere in Waterford a person, group, or club will be at play. For most of our clubs this will involve playing Ladies Football but it can also involve playing a different sport, or even a walk, jog or cycle. If you’re being active and having fun it counts. All proceeds will be shared 50:50 between Pieta House & WLGFA.
Waterford LGFA invites expressions of interest from potential candidates for the position of Team Manager for the Waterford County Senior, Minor, U16, and U14 teams.

The Munster blitz will take place this Saturday 27th August in Mallow GAA Complex (Eircode: P51XV58). The blitz will be split into morning and evening sessions. Can all players please bring a packed lunch, plenty of water, and wear the new Waterford LGFA top provided. If your daughter has not received her jersey, it can be collected on the day. We are asking that all players in the morning session be in Mallow at 9:30 and all players in the afternoon session be in Mallow at 1:30. The job of the PRO is a wide-ranging one and there is no one best way of doing it. If done correctly it can really help build up a club’s sense of identity, improve the flow of information around the club, and even help with sourcing funding.

The Waterford Ladies Gaelic Football Association Adult and Minor Championship fixtures for 2020 have been announced. U16, U14 and U12 fixtures will follow shortly.

The free club officer training workshop organised by the LGFA will take place in County Waterford on the 19th February at 7.30pm, Venue TBC (in the Dungarvan area).
The LGFA is now inviting applications 2020 Gaelic4Teens programme. The 2019 programme drew to a spectacular close with an activity day at the GAA’s National Games Development Centre on May 6 last – and now your club has the opportunity to sample the magic of Gaelic4Teens.
G4G is a 12 week programme incorporating coaching sessions with fun non-competitive blitzes aimed at increasing participation in Ladies Gaelic Football. The programme targets girls aged between 8-12 years who are not currently registered with a Ladies Gaelic Football club.
The first match in the inaugural first-year school’s championship between St. Augustines College and Ard Scoil na nDéise is on this Friday the 27th of September 2019 at 10am in St. Augustines College Abbeyside.
Four second-half goals helped Longford clinch the All-Ireland U16 B title with victory over a spirited Waterford in Birr on Wednesday 24th July 2019. It was a game that ebbed and flowed but Longford took hold of proceedings midway through the second half and never looked back.
