Comeragh Rangers LGFC

Club History

Comeragh Ranger’s LGFC is situated at the foot of the Comeragh Mountains in the rural village of Rathgormack. The club was founded in 1999 by a small group of people looking to promote ladies Gaelic football in the area. The club has grown from strength to strength and now has a large catchment area of players. Comeragh Ranger’s LGFC has players, mentors and followers from Rathgormack, Clonea and Newtown/Ballydurn.

The club fields teams at under 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, minor, junior and senior. As a club we have been blessed with huge numbers of players and have one of the largest number of registered players in Munster.

Throughout the twenty years of existence, the club has reaped the rewards of timeless dedication, effort and persistence by achieving many county successes at underage level. Furthermore, the club is very proud of the many players who have gone onto represent the club at county level. Finally, the cub is also very lucky to have an extremely hard working and committed committee who every year keep the show on the road.
