From 6pm on Friday Sept 22nd to 6pm Saturday Sept 23rd Waterford Ladies Gaelic Football Association is partnering with Pieta House to #Play4Pieta. For 24 Hours somewhere in Waterford a person, group, or club will be at play. For most of our clubs this will involve playing Ladies Football but it can also involve playing a different sport, or even a walk, jog or cycle. If you’re being active and having fun it counts. All proceeds will be shared 50:50 between Pieta House & WLGFA.
What Does Your Club Do?
WLGFA will be organising blitzes, matches and events for this 24 hour period and we’re asking all our clubs to participate. Clubs can also organise their own events to help fill the 24 hour slots. Message (083)0975432 by Text or WhatsApp with your club name, event type, and preferred time slot on the 22nd or 23rd of September. (30 or 60-minute slots are available).
Social Media
You can download content (including logos) for your social media to advertise the event (contact pro.waterford@lgfa.ie for access). These logos can be used with your own photos. Club PROs needing help contact pro.waterford@lgfa.ie
We would like clubs to send details of planned events to the WLGFA PRO in advance so we can promote them. We would also encourage clubs to use the hashtag #Play4Pieta when they are posting photos of their events and the donation link on their social media. https://www.idonate.ie/play4pieta
