G4G is a 12 week programme incorporating coaching sessions with fun non-competitive blitzes aimed at increasing participation in Ladies Gaelic Football. The programme targets girls aged between 8-12 years who are not currently registered with a Ladies Gaelic Football club.
This is a tool to attract new players. 38 clubs representing 22 counties took part in the Gaelic4Girls programme in 2019, with over 1600 girls aged between 8-12 years involved – a huge number of players who have been exposed to Ladies Gaelic Football and a club setting for the first time. Dungarvan and Tramore were the Waterford clubs selected to participate in the 2019 programme.
The Ladies Gaelic Football Association are now accepting applications for 2020, with a closing date of November 29th. Full information is available at www.ladiesgaelic.ie or clubs can contact County Development Officer Richard Hayes for more information.
